The trumpet includes new valve springs, valve stem felts, top cap felts, rubber O-rings, and spit valve pads. more hand polished to a mirror finish using the finest silver polish available. It was assembled using the highest quality 100% synthetic lubricants. Cleaning brushes were run through every passage on the horn and then it was thoroughly rinsed and dried. The trumpet was disassembled and a couple very small dings were removed from the bell. The original owner bought the trumpet new his sophomore year in high school and played in school band and then has literally sat in the closet since 1971. Engraved on the bell is"Deville- Henri Selmer- Made in France" It was a one owner horn. One piece yellow brass hand hammered bell.

If you have any significant information to contribute to my understanding of this trumpet. A very clean horn owned by a professional musician. more even has the original keys still with it) and its in solid shape.
The case is a Conn case but appears to be from the same era as the trumpet(it. The engraving on this trumpet is phenomenal. It has one very small ding on the small pipe before it enters the valve(not on the valve itself in no way obstructs the valve) and a few very tiny pin prick dings on the bell(the camera can't even capture them they're so small) The pistons are silky smooth, all six bottom and top caps spin off and on with ease, compression is nice, all slides are very clean and smooth. This gorgeous trumpet has normal lacquer wear(original lacquer) from having been played over the years. The letters and numbers on the neck lead me to believe this is a Model 20, Bb, Medium Bore.

This is a beautiful instrument, and has a unique sound only found in these models. the front valve slide is stuck, but I haven't tried much more than gently pulling on it. more it does have some issues, there are dents in the tubing, and on the bell, it has a lot of corrosion on the lead pipe, and a ton of scratches and scuffs everywhere, all over.
